Its good for certain things. For example, If your camping, you could use an 800watt hot water kettle that takes 5 to 7 minutes to boil water more than a dozen times before having to recharge it. You can also recharge from zero to full daily with about 300 watts of solar and good weather. Its def not designed to replace a gas gen but they have their uses. Do you really want to fire up a gas gen if all you needed to do was run your laptop, maybe charge your phone and run some led lighting in your tent for the night? This is perfect for that. Def cant compare them to a gas gen tho. Another great use for it, is I have an egg cooker that runs on just 400 watts and only takes 15 minutes to medium boil 6 eggs. This could medium to hard boil two dozen eggs and still just use less than half it's capacity or you could boil 48 eggs if you wanted to drain it completely. Thats a lot of eggs, especially considering you can charge it back to 100% in 4 to 5 hrs with around 300 watts of solar.
By the way, This is the egg cooker I use, its freakin awesome.

This is a really really good price per Wh (maybe even the best or at least close to the best amongst what's available right now) but the entire Oupes Exodus line has been on sale at these really good sale prices for months and months. I've been starting to wonder if the prices were ever going to go up. So far, they've stayed super affordable. I probably just jinxed it by saying this and tomorrow prices will go up. Better buy now!

These aren't for home backup power. good lord. These are just one step up from a usb power bank, and are super great for people that understand what they are for. Everything is about expectations. You can always let yourself down with any product you buy if your expectations are more than what the product is ever intended to do, but on the other hand, if your expectations are realistic. They are awesome!

This did not happen in my case. I emailed twice with details, called and was sent to voicemail which they didn't reply to. I just received shipping confirmation 12 hours later after all of my requests to cancel were ignored. Now, according to their cancellation policy they didn't follow, I'll need to pay shipping to send it back to return, which will likely be cost prohibitive. So yeah, Binar is right here, I'm SOL. I can only refute the charge or refuse delivery if I can get a hold of whoever is shipping it before it gets here. Somehow.

load it in the car, take it to the the shipping store ( UPS/Fedex) they shipped with and say you want to refuse delivery ..reason being you declined transaction. Also write with big bold letters on the box "refused delivery". Take pics, save the tracking and once they receive it charge back if they still dont answer. They might ship with some BS carrier like globalmail or other obscure scummy shipper in which case you have no recourse. To answer the guy above you made in china is different than sold by a chinese company. Jackery has office in CA, and they have to abide by QC they advertise.

It's beyond low. It's more toward unusable.
That's why posted earlier to spend an extra $50 and get the Oupes Mega 1 instead.
Superior in everyway and worth the extra $50.

Serious question: How loud is the Mega 1?

I use a EF River 2 Pro as a UPS for my PC but the thing roars when it's outputting more than 500W.

Anyone use these as a battery backup to their sump pump? Will it work as a pass through while power is on and then kick on battery as soon as power goes out automatically?

they do state that this one has pass through charging and has a 20ms switchover from grid power to power coming from the unit. if the sump is running on grid power and it gets cut, it should switch over automatically without a hiccup. test by killing the breaker the sump is connected to

id highly suggest using the unit roughly once a month to drain the battery down to 20-25% just to have it see some usage. plug a random light into it and use that when you might be in the area, this wont drain it but its good for it to work some
