Ordered table two days ago and paid the $30 with credit card. Today Metro gave me a $30 credit for this months bill. Called metro and they said the $30 charge will be put back on the credit card "when" the tablet is activated. What happens if its never activated? I have no intension of not paying but this type of billing is confusing. I asked if the tablet will be on auto pay when activated and the rep said yes because it will be with the other phone lines billing that are auto pay.

I was able to have 2 devices, but now trying to add the tablet as a third device. But getting the dreaded, call customer service to complete purchase screen.
Did anyone try to cancel the plan for one of the second line, then try to buy a third device?
I'm temped to port out the second line to see if this can possibly enable the third device purchase.

Did the iphone 13 deal, received phone today, activated and ordered the tablet. But it wasn't easy.

First logged in via PC browser and it said I was ineligible for a new line. It also seemed to get stuck with showing my acct info at all....

Tried again, same.

Then tried on the phone, and it worked. Or at least I think it did. They have my order anyway. Although if I go to the tablet/watch or sort of anything else now, it says I am ineligible for a new line.

Bizarre. Anyway, IF they send the tablet, is it unlocked? I also have a 3 month tablet sim from straight talk that I haven't activated yet (the e-reader tablet thingy). Just wondering if I can use that too in the Samsung if I want.

You must wait until the tablet is fully activated before any additional service lines can be ordered.
The tablet is carrier-locked for 365 days, following the same policy as Metro phones.
If you want to use a Straight Talk SIM for personal use before the device is officially unlocked, you would need to:
  • Use third-party software to carrier-relock the device (approximately $15–$20 per device) before the firmware is updated.
  • Manually upgrade to the last 2025 firmware release (Bit 9), as the relocked network method is patched with latest 2026 firmware.
  • Disable automatic software updates (this requires two ADB commands with USB debugging enabled) to avoid accidental or automatic background updates.

Thanks. Then I guess the answer really is: No, it won't work -- (or at least isn't worth the hassle).

I'll just use the spare sim in the straight talk ereader-ish tablet then, although it wouldn't be my first choice for streaming.

I got the... "Please contact us to complete your order."

Guessing the charge on my card would be removed then?

Only purchased the iPhone 13 and Galaxy Watch 7.

Could someone please guide me on how to "opt-out of your tablet line service at anytime"? Thanks in advance!

Assume simply don't pay for it? Aren't all of these pre-paid? Unless you have autopay on, just forget about it and it'll stop when they don't get paid, I assume?

Tried again after the order went through, now hitting that screen that you hit. Seems impossible to get 2 tablets at least with 1 main line.

You order with your phone. The new iPhone 13 or your other phone? You order with Metro app or web browser? Which browser? Chrome? Edges? Firefox? Or iPhone browser?

I used the iphone 13 + safari to order the tablet. However it quickly reverted to the not eligible message after ordering.

I also noticed with my PC browser that I could have ordered the tablet (or at least put it in my cart), but when I browsed and went back, I couldn't.

So beats me why it works this way. For some reason every mobile site seems to have a flaky website where ordering may work, or not... or orders may or not be cancelled.
