With the P2S out and the X1C discontinued I don't think it makes sense at this price point.

Yeah ...$500 and I'll bite. They screwed themselves with the new update minus tool changer. When they all get tool changers mid year this will be completely obsolete and barely worth what the P1 is selling for today. I want a new printer. Using multiple ender 3s of various upgrade paths and really want to jump to core xy.

Hell, I'm still happy using my a1 mini. A larger build volume would be nice but not until an upgrade comes with more than just that without breaking the bank. I'm hoping multi-head/tool-changing drops a price point or two. There's good competition pushing tech, it'll be interesting to see what it does to prices.

I don't know if I'm late to the party, but I see it as unavailable. It was unavailable for some time before so unless they randomly got new stock or found stock somewhere, this might be old

Would this have been better than the P2S? I am planning to buy a 3d printer. What is the tool changer? And will it be definitely coming this summer?

I've only used Bambu filament on it so far, so to start the convo, the filament should work "better" than generic (not best since I haven't tested all filament out there but with them having the ability to tune the printer to their os filament, it should work). I've had many VFA issues that others have seen and this is something they would and have said they are working on but still not there yet. I've had buffer challenges where they've had to send me a new one since it either failed to load or just had general issues. When printing, having larger prints by the filter will cause it to lift since the air is moving fast by the intake/filter. The air vent almost always needs a diffuser so the cold air coming from the outside shooting at the right side of the print, doesn't cause layer issues (many people have posted comments and videos on this). I was also using a lot of issues with TPU on my devices as well. There are a few others more specific to my workflow but the overall print quality is average at best.

That's the same issue with the x1c and p1s. It's so easy to print a diffuser. This is a nothing burger. Also, in filament settings, set fan to 0% for first 3 layers. Bump up bed 5 Deg on initial layer. Never had lifting issues after this on my p1s.

Worst case scenario, add mouse ears.

For a brand new printer from the "just works" company that sounds pretty bad. I have owned and still own most of every bambu model, and this is stuff they really should have worked out by now, since as you say it goes back to the X1C. Guess I was wise to sit the P2S out. Like you think by now they'd be able to release default profiles that resolve this stuff with their own filament. Le sigh

Well, for my part, I bought a P2S around black Friday last year. I've printed many things on it with PLA and PETG, using mostly generic filament. I haven't installed any mods other than a bin in the back to catch the bits of filament waste that are ejected. After hundreds of prints I just had my first print failure a couple weeks ago; the hot end clogged. I followed their cold pull and flush procedure, and was back up and running.

I'm happy with it so far, though I haven't tried printing with the more advanced filaments yet. It's a massive leap forward in the "it just works" department compared to my last 3d printer. To have a single failed print out of hundreds? Not bad at all.

Oh for sure. Like I said I still own a bunch of them. And I've been down the whole Creality rabbit hole so I've felt the pain as well.

My concern with bambu only really became more prominent with their more recent direction, as the initial offerings pushed competitors to release much better products, which is awesome. There seems to be a larger emphasis on pushing. More technology and fancy design into the printers than addressing print quality issues that actually affects their users. Kind of to be expected from a company that wasn't born from the enthusiast crowd, but I just wish they focused more on it as many are well known.

The P2S is technically an awesome printer, but to still have base issues is disappointing. The H2 lineup all having different bed sizes, build volumes, etc. As a H2C owner the vortek is awesome, but my guess is instead of improving the AMS to speed up print times, they'll just follow the market and release a tool changer next and abandon the overly complex system.

They just seem to be riding their fanbase at this point. The initial lineup was clear and concise and now it's getting muddy as to where their new printers actually sit. Reminds me of OnePlus. I just hope they work it out.

Good points. It is great that Bambu pushed the market to improve the quality of 3d printers in general. Hopefully either Bambu improves their direction and products going forward, or another company steps up and further pushes the envelope of printers that "just work".

I have a P2S. I definitely need to do some fine tuning to improve print quality, but that is a lot of effort, ya know. It does generally make acceptable (to me) prints. TPU is a pain, though. It did not take me long to find out that I will soon outgrow the printer. My next step is a large Voron or Prusa or something, with multiple heads.
