165' rated, which typically on these no names means really only useful indoors in an average to large "house" sized room. I wouldn't recommend if you're doing commercial construction/measuring, but if you just want to measure rooms and things like that it will probably work fine. Usually the laser isn't bright enough to target outside (at least in the sun) and accuracy/usability due to brightness goes way down in larger spaces on the cheap units.
