I have this, bought it last time. I use it for Chinese Hotpot, mostly only use the big burner. I get it started on the stove before moving it to the hot plate. Beware that if you use both plates at the same time the power output is less so it takes forever for stuff to get back up to boiling.

Could this be used as a warmer, rather than buying those shitty warmers that always come up on slick deals. This would be good for a party to keep the food warm? Anybody try it?

They should clearly state that the larger burner is 1000w and smaller one - 700W. Meaning you wont get more than 1000w on any burner. With cast iron, it means slow heat up and underpowered burner
