If I power any one of them off they all power off. Dish DVR wow can't believe anyone still has Dish network, better than Direct TV I guess Stick Out Tongue Dish Network was garbage 20 years ago and hasn't gotten any better. Do you live out in the boonies where your internet is really bad? If so get a Starlink and some streaming services and ditch the satellite! I do have a couple streaming services but mostly I put my eye patch on and sing yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Cruise yea I took a cruise once never ever ever again! Would much rather fly somewhere and spend as long as I want at whatever attraction I want than to sit in a boat the and told you have to get back in 6 hours or the boats will leave you Stick Out Tongue I fly somewhere make zero reservations find a hotel next to a sight I want to see go see it if I really liked it or didn't fell like I had enough time I stay another day and see more of it if i was like meh could have done without that I swap hotels to one next to the next sight I want to see rinse repeat!

You using composite cables Stick Out Tongue I did that for a while I had a Yamaha flagship that only had component cables but it eventually died and instead of repairing it I just bought a new one with HDMI !

Reminds me of using pliers to turn the channel on a dial TV. It was on a larger non working console set that served as a TV stand.

Yeah, butthen you want to watch something on just the tv and not turn on everything else.
Nope, turn on one, they all come on, turn off one, they all go off.
1) Just want to listen to a DVD-A, nothing to see.
2) Want to watch tv but not use the whole surround sound system, just the tv speakers or maybe the bluetooth headset.
3) Watch a movie from Kodi, then I want it all on.

1 out of the 3 will work with CEC, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

We don't all use stuff the same way you do.

HDMI-CEC, good idea, bad implementation.
