It's annoyingly coy about lacking UHS-II compatibility, which is a minimum spec these days.

Good deal for those archived files. Crazy how fast new memory storage progresses.

I'm not sure, I believe I had a Vita as well but only briefly. All I know is Sony really pushed that memory card format, way too hard, and way past the rest of society abandoning it. I also had a Sony Ericsson (maybe a S710a) at the time, it was a really cool camera-phone hybrid with lens cover, optical zoom, etc it also took those MS cards which was a PITA for me at the time because I only had SD cards. They were also very expensive per MB, if memory (bad pun) serves.

I'm just amazed generic memory card readers are still supporting the format. Can we bring back the ZIP drive?

And its immediately compatible with phones. I keep one in my car on the off chance i need to backup/upload dash cam footage via my phone in a pinch, Viofo dash cams support wifi, but after testing its pretty slow.

All those Zip discs probably died from the click of death already.

The zip drives were a life saver back in the day for graphic designers.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That was a scary sound!

FWIW, I normally associate "click of death" with AK rifles which (mostly) have no LRHO so you don't know you are out of ammo until that 'click' with no boom Wink

Unfortunately, no. The Vita uses a proprietary memory card. Back in the day, it was ridiculously expensive and the main reason the Vita was not as popular as it should have been. I would argue that it's more popular now than when it came out due to being able to use micro SD cards with an adapter and custom firmware.
