Read the comments, it was only at that price because of a chinese seller and no one got the deal. I have bought these before and $13 in 2025 would have been impossible.

Think this is safe enough to plug a surge protector to?

As long as what you plug into the surge protector doesn't pull more than 15 amps, yes.

It's safe as long as your surge protector is rated for at least 15 Amp and the actual load does not exceed it.

For what it's worth, I've been impressed with the quality of this cord. I bought 2 of them 3 years ago to serve as a 'temporary' power run to my shed (cheaper than a 100'), and they have held up very well. It sits outside in the grass 24/7, gets rain/snow/sun beating down on it, and I run it over with the lawn tractor. It's been so reliable that I haven't been motivated to rent a DitchWitch and bury conduit to do it correctly.

This cord is not rated for cold weather use. It will work but it will be very stiff and won't lay flat or uncoil well.

Nice cord, but not at this price. I picked up 2 of them last year for about $15 or less. When the first one arrived, I ordered another. Decent quality

Decent price for 12 gauge. If you're running lawn equipment, you'll want at least 12 especially for longer runs. The thinner cords can get nice and toasty with something like a tiller that you'd use for longer periods of time.

I have 3 of them and they are even stiff in warm weather. Hard to roll up.
