$500 for minimum storage again. Come on, stop building AI data centers and give us actual storage, or at least an SD card slot. Yes I'm living in 2015 over here Big Grin

Still starting out at 128gb is downright criminal in 2026. Apple got it right.

Not even released it and they are already discounting/offering bundles The Pixel experiment has failed . Google is just in the game now for vanity Their flagship phones are always getting returned hence the constant open box deals we see on here And Audacity to even price their so called "affordable" A series at these prices is laughable . Bragging about having good camera specs ...no one thats enthusiastic on photo quality will hesitate to spend more on a better phone . The rest of the audience they are targeting will probably be better off with a Moto G for a 3rd less
Dud I got the straight talk deal that gave us a free moto g stylus with 1month of service, and that phone has made me a solid moto fan, the screen is amazing, battery is amazing and the camera/video combo is impressive for only paying $40. I'm on a iPhone 17 pro max and I want a moto phone now lol.

I think it's worth noting that pixel had issues with the Pixel 4a 6a and 7A. They had battery swelling issues and they had to force updates breaking functionality and battery capacity by as much as 60%. They paid off Pixel 4a users with a free battery replacement and $50 but to get the 50 bucks you had to sign up for ridiculous third-party financial services company and give them a bunch of your ID information. And then they charge you 20 bucks a year to have an account with them

They paid more for the Pixel 6a and 7A because they weren't past their support window but still.

Account for this they've not changed their battery policy so after a few hundred cycles I forget if it's 200 or $300 or 400 but after so many cycles. . they're going to automatically reduce capacity.

This is basically what Apple was sued for with battery gate of course the difference was Apple was hiding it. But still I'm just not happy with the way Google has handled these battery issues with their a series and it's enough to keep me from buying it again.

Someone really wants a pixel get a Pixel 8 pro from Amazon renewed for under 300 b. Same storage but you can get it with 12 GB of RAM and a QHD screen and much thinner bezels and The same battery the same weak internal Samsung modem. The chip doesn't perform much different as we've seen from the benchmarks.

And it's still going to get like four more years of support.

Same deals direct from Google, but Google gives better trade-in values for your old phone.

YMMV, but I got an offer from Google for $100 off, with free pixel buds, and $160 trade for my pixel 7.

I have a P9pro that I am happy with. I think that it is the software, not the hardware that makes google phones a good product. Unless you do a lot of zoom photography, most would be happy with the regular, not the pro version of Pixels. I do have the 256 GB, and I think that it should be an option for a maximum of $25-50.
