BTW, 10a is mostly just the same as the 9a design-wise, plus same chip and similar display (a little brighter) and cameras. The screen glass is a little stronger and they added satellite SOS... if anyone really ever needs it.
IF anything, it can be considered a downgrade in a way because while the 9 and 9a use the same Tensor 4 cpu, like most all of their flagship / a phones. While the Pixel 10 uses the new Tensor 5 though, the 10a now is left behind. Stuck with the same older Tensor 4 chip as the 9s.

Also BTW, Google hoes still asking $499 for the 9a too. Stick Out Tongue

Man, we have pixel 6a, 7, 7a, 7Pro and I keep looking at comparisons to try to justify being interested in trading one of them in for this but it just seems like there hasn't been much progress in 3 or 3.5 years in the phone world.

I just got an email from Google for P10a for 249 with 120 days of Google Fi service required. It seems like a decent deal, especially if you're already on Fi. No trade ins required

That's kind of what I've done and why I have more than I need- it used to be you'd get trade values at like $300 and those seem long gone. Especially when a 7 to a 10a is basically a lateral move and a 7 Pro to a 10a looks like a big DOWNgrade.
Yeah I agree with that sentiment, unfortunately the main benefits for actually "upgrading" phones now is to continue software/security longetivity and resale value. Though it's mostly negated if you are open to custom ROMs on the Pixel lines.
They are just squeezing money with incremental upgrades. Sad state of affairs when phones are just commodities.

If you get it with fi deal, can you have another number on it same time or it will not count for discount?

is it possible to order online for the "Activate with carrier" price of $399, then submit the trade in, and don't activate in order to get the $399 pricing?

Do 1 minute worth of research to realize this phone is an absolute joke. It's recycled hardware at a premium cost. Buy anything else.

Google Store is doing 50% off on this phone, which is $250, plus $150 for 9a trade-in, making this a $100 phone (128GB version). That's crazy!!

I'd buy this. It's a good phone for my needs but at $500 for almost identical to last year's 9a? What?

Just don't release a phone this year?
