I've played all the Metal Gear Solid games on every platform since the PlayStation 1. I recently finished this game on the PlayStation 5. It's good, but not the best. There's something missing on it.

The framerate is very inconsistent, and really only hits 60fps in buildings, unless you have a PS5 Pro. I had a lot of drops below the 48fps VRR threshold, even in areas that had nothing going on. As far as the actual gameplay goes, it plays well, but this is just a poorly optimized game. I beat it fast and traded it in. I wished I hadn't bought it in the first place.
