Retail price is a lie on this, if you have Costco they have the 150 servings for $79.99 or sometimes better in store. Anyway this is a good investment in case of emergency for me being in Florida it's a must in case of hurricanes

Tried to find the same exact Readywise bucket on Amazon so I could run it through Camelx3 for pricing history. But couldn't find an exact match. These ~120 serving Readywise buckets seem to vary from $86 - $132 real world pricing. So anything less than that is likely a deal to some extent. Agree with jacan these are a good investment if you're interested in preparing for a hurricane, flood, wildfire or other emergency scenario. Even without getting into the hardcore doomsday sh*t, there's enough serious weather events going on lately that having an emergency food supply on hand is never going to be a bad idea.

Plenty of people will argue you can get equivalent or even better sustenance less expensively from buying canned goods and other shelf stable staples at your local grocery stores. They're not wrong. But you won't get a 25 year shelf life and if your emergency planning involves the possibility of a sudden evacuation from your home, there's something to be said for a grab and go, lightweight food supply. Just make sure you have a camp stove and cooking pot, or other means to prepare these dehydrated foods.

And before the usual idiots come out of the woodwork to complain each "serving" is a mere 200 calories and how can you possibly live on that, please first consult a dictionary and educate yourself on the distinction between a "serving" and a "meal". Nobody, including Readywise, is suggesting these buckets contain 120 meals.

It is not like you are getting hurricanes without warning in seconds. You can just boil rice on propane stove to live thru blackout if any. These things are just new low in squeezing money

Over half oats / oat meal. Hard pass. You can buy the packets of alfredo and such at wally world for around $1. Last for years. Just cycle them out as you use them. Plus they tastes so much better than this and have less preservatives Wink

So your advice is to wait until you receive official warning of an imminent natural disaster before you begin preparing for it? You clearly don't live in Florida or anywhere else such events are common. One trip to a grocery store or your local Walmart under those circumstances would quickly dissuade you from giving or heeding such silly advice.

Agree! And more balanced nutritionally (more protein, for instance). But much more expensive though.
