This Cable Matters USB4 cable is aimed at buyers who need certified 80Gbps bandwidth in a 4.9 foot length, with 240W charging and Thunderbolt 5 and 4 compatibility. The main appeal is the combination of speed, power, and certification in a longer cable, which is harder to find at lower prices. It also has a solid brand reputation in the thread. The main caveat is price, since similar cables can cost less if you only need 40Gbps or can accept a shorter, less certified option. A practical pick when the full spec matters.

update: Nevermind, they don't make this spec. I misread

At this price, the LTT TrueSpec cable might be a better option

  1. They don't make a 40gbps 5ft speed cable much less an 80gbps one
  2. Their 5ft cable is only 20gbps
  3. It's $27+shipping, so closer to $40 for most folks
...in other words, not a 'better option' if you want a longer 80gbps capable cable.

Not to mention LTT's cables are not certified while this Cable Matters one is
