Are these any better than the ~$10 controllers from Aliexpress with respect to range or delay?

I bought two recently and have been happy. There is slightly too much distance in the stick for Smash, makes the reaction a little off, but otherwise they've been great.

No. PowerA is junk. In 2019 I bought 10 PowerA xbox controllers from a WalMart clearance bin at $5 each. They all went bad - mushy button and drifting stick - within one month.

That is a bummer, hall effect used to be the mark of decent quality. Now the budget brands are using them

These are wired controllers, so there shouldn't be any delay and range is definitely a factor.

They didn't use Hall Effect in 2019 Power A. These are better.

Those were a different model and didn't use the Hall effect joysticks.
