Same 3 for $20 is great, lost 2 of them already the last one does not stay locked tho, a light push on the blade in the close direction with the lock engaged will close which has given me a few close calls. I'd still mark it as worth it

Hey all - looking for some decent tools and knives for various everyday things to keep in my RV - space is tight of course. I'm solo female traveler w/ some arthritis weakness in my hands. How hard are these to open? I had some in the past that were a PITA to open. Would these be a good fit? Any other better suggestions? Thank so much!

Sanrenmu make great knives. All of the knives I've gotten from them open easily. Are centered and sharp. With that said, my dad ordered these 3 last time and one of them was crazy hard to open. The detent was ridiculous. The others were fine. You can flick them open with the thumb stud. They will come super sharp too. Be careful. I'd say these are easily worth $20. But then again, I'm a knife guy that has way too many knives already.

I remember getting so many variations of these in threes! 9.99 shipped! That was five years ago, so I guess double the price is justified

I don't know how many people realize there's a special mechanism for the two carabiner ones here which is for safety, it's a button that pushes through a hole to engage the liner to unlock and if understood I think it's both easy and secure, you push through perpendicular to the blade first. The Pig Iron is a normal liner lock and not especially hard as far as those go but I can't speak to how arthritis plays in to it.

I guess that was before they got posted on SD, search sorting for oldest doesn't bring it up. You got that deal from Field Supply?

I'd recommend something like a Kershaw Cryo G10. It's got a flipper tab with spring-assisted opening. G10 also makes the knife less slippery and I personally prefer a frame lock over a liner lock.

I had run into a bug where if I'm logged in it had shipping but checking out as guest didn't, go figure.
