This isn't a bad deal, but recently the metal "smart managed" version of this was on sale for $11.37 during the last part of January and the first part of February.

The prices on these seemed pretty cyclical so I would expect it to be that price again in the next couple of months.

The use case for a five port managed switch is probably much less common, but it was perfect for my needs.

Bonus: it's 5 volts so you can run this off USB power if you use a USB to barrel plug cable.

Going to buy one as a backup for the one that's been chugging away for the last 11 years.

Bought OP unit and also this. I suggest you try both and report back as both work fine for me. Plastic versus metal.

I prefer a metal vented case.
