Deal Alert popup every visit

Over the last few days, I get a popup to set up Deal Alerts every time I come to the site. How can I prevent this?

I know how to use them, and have in the past. This is irritating. Mad

The same thing is happening for me, it is very obnoxious. I've tried selecting one of the alerts from the pop-up but that doesn't stop it from happening every time I open the site.

When will it be fixed, and are you doing anything to prevent nuisance ads like this in the future?

The site the past few weeks has gotten more aggressively annoying with ads all over the place - I don't need to sign up for more deal alerts, but I've gotten that popup several times. I don't need you to ask me to rate a deal while I'm still looking at it.

Please don't go down the route of being hostile to the community that makes this site what it is. Or, well, I guess - you're already on it, please turn around and actually respect the people who make your site money.

I even signed up for one just to see if I could get it to go away, and it STILL comes up every visit. I've been a member of this site since .... forever. This is the first time I've been irritated enough to complain about something on it. Why on earth is this still an issue?!

This is a garbage experience with that big popup every time. I've been here 15 years and this is tempting me to move elsewhere.

It is now two days later, and you haven't just reverted to the last working version? Every. Single. Time. You visit the home page this comes up, how did nobody see this before it shipped? Why is this popup even a good idea regardless? Why hasn't it been fixed?

I found a solution that I think works. It requires uBlock Origin. (Not plain ol' uBlock.)

Open the dashboard (the button with the gears) and go to the "My Filters" tab. Insert this code:

Code:
slickdeals.net##dialog:remove()
slickdeals.net##+js(rc, consent-dialog-open, body)
Then hit "Apply Changes".

I do not know if this breaks any other functionality on SD.

From the reports the developers know they need to get it fixed, and are working on it.

Thanks! But I simply copied some code that I found on a random other site. I actually have no clue what I'm doing. 🤣 I'm hopeful that the SD devs can fix it in the near future.
