Fear of seed oils and fat are definitely overblown. I would be more concerned about calories than anything else. That's the main downside of very delicious high fat oil and butters. Just keep in mind everything in moderation, it's just that you can eat some foods more than others, but there's no reason to eliminate any individual groups that includes carbs, sugars, and oils.

To be honest, the regular Peter Pan Creamy only has roasted peanuts, salt, sugar and a couple seed oils. It almost seems healthier or at least as healthy as this "Natural" version!

Peter Pan sells a regular Peanut Butter version vs this Peanut Butter Spread version.

"Peanut butter spread refers to a category of products that often contain less than 90% peanuts, distinguishing them from standard "peanut butter" by including additional sweeteners, oils, or stabilizers."

It isn't a term that means anything. It's just marketing and not much of a regulated term.

Just peanuts and perhaps salt is all peanut butter should contain.

There are reasons to prefer peanut butter that is just peanut butter.

Vegetable oils, the untold story is a fascinating documentary that starts with Proctor and Gamble essentially funding the AHA in the beginning. Hard to argue with most of the information presented. My biggest fact check anomaly was the Maasai diet that was thought to be only meat milk and blood. The blood part was only during certain ceremonies, not a part of their daily diet as presented by Nina.
