JBL's Studio 6 series has been in the US market for only 4 years, during which time they have almost always been sold at full retail. Sadly, JBL is now closing out their high quality compression-driver Studio 6 series (only the in-room models; the in-wall versions are unaffected thus far) but that means excellent clearance pricing for consumers despite the tariff situation which has otherwise driven up consumer audio prices.

NOTE: there is no such thing as a "horn tweeter"---only "horn WAVEGUIDES." These JBL Studio and HDI series have *compression driver* tweeters. The entry level Klipsch that people sometimes complain of being "bright" or "shrill" have *metal dome* tweeters. Two very different animals. The compression drivers with horn waveguides offer incredible dynamics and headroom which makes all the difference especially during movies and TV, providing a vividness and immediacy to the sound that dome tweeters and ribbons simply cannot match. Don't confuse these with the "horn" sound of entry-level Klipsch (which use metal dome tweeters not compression driver tweeters)...they are not "shouty," "harsh," or "bright" at all.

I have the 5 Series and these are best HT speakers for the money hands down..Good deal OP on the 6 series as Jbl and Harman stopped selling them directly and were mostly never discounted by authorized dealers. If you need HT speakers , this is a great deal. Much better than Klipschs that everyone posts regularly.

No these are all sold as each/one speaker.

If you have never heard these or 5 series make sure you check the return policy from seller, especially at this price.
Like Klipsch they are an acquired taste/lore following.

I have the JBL 530s. The previous JBL 520c center wasn't good, but these 6 series centers are much better and also blend well.

Correct, other commentator is incorrect. Bookshelves are sold as pair.

Well, I guess you have to look under additional details. It looks like you get two boxes & sold as a pair.
This saves you another $50.

Yes, I'm a price-to-performance shill 🤣. I've owned speakers by Ascend, Emotiva, Philharmonic, JBL, Wharfedale, ELAC, NHT, Chane, Mordaunt Short, BIC, Q Acoustics, KEF, Polk, and SVS. I've also listened to Def Tech, B&W, Triangle, Focal, Hsu, Martin Logan, Klipsch, Vandersteen, Monitor Audio, and Paradigm in stores. No brand allegiance, a.k.a. fanboyism, unlike the kind of person who's gone straight from TV speakers or soundbar or Bose to one non-lifestyle brand and suddenly thinks they've found god's gift to audio. 😆

lol you have to hand it to Harmons marketing.
They'll ride that lore for a few years like they did their 5 series.

Put it on "clearance" & poof now it's some great speakers for the price!!!
All along being the regular/correct price!
Now that's great marketing!!!
