Bought this bag for $40 back in September for a trip to Peru. I only used it for traveling as a personal item, no hiking/trekking. It held up well and packed a lot. It was comfortable wearing through the airports and the compression straps helped keep the bag at personal item dimensions while being stuffed.

Two things that I didn't like about it: no laptop sleeve and no water bottle pocket.
