I have the quarter zip version of this and absolutely love it for chilly runs. With a simple thin layer underneath it, I've taken this down to about 26 degrees and still been very comfortable as long as I have my head/ears covered up. I have plenty of other jackets/pullovers to use around town so I wouldn't even think to use this as anything other than exercise equipment, but the people in these comments pooh-poohing the polyester content are basically just telling on themselves for being sedentary because this sort of material makeup is exactly what you want if you're going to be sweating. There's a reason that 100% of real quality workout related clothing has poly in it.

You think any athlete exercises in 100% cotton clothing? Are you out of your minds?

Its fleece, what do you expect? Patagonia, north Face, all the major brands fleece is poly.

This is outdoor gear similar to polartec power grid. I have one and it's great for backpacking and rock climbing.
It's not a good idea to where cotton for outdoor sports.

Understood and agree, but it doesn't change what I said. There are appropriate items for all outdoor activities and as someone that was a fanatical skier, I wouldn't want a cotton sweatshirt as my outer layer. The case could be made for cycling, running, etc. and I've got gear designed for them all. Gym rats however, can wear cotton. Wink

My point was just that some of these "advancements" aren't really advancements. I can't confirm if micro plastic shedding is really happening, but I was just trying to make others aware that - as we're finding out with other forms of "plastic", our clothing may also be an issue. Does that suck? Yeah, it kinda does...

Why doesn't it change what you said? Are you still recommending using cotton for outdoor activities? Have you tried using a cotton base layer? That's a recipe to get chilled to the bone or even hypothermia.

Not sure if English is your primary language, but I don't know how to spell it out for you. Did you miss the part about skiing (30+ days/year)? Cycling? Running? Etc...

Kind of surprising that you can't understand, but it is what it is and I'm done....

I bought it in store probably a year ago, I also don't see it on the site anymore so it leads me to believe they don't carry it anymore.

Just tried it on. Its similar to my REI running jacket, only thing missing is the thumb hole at the end of the sleeve. It is thin and breatheable but it has grid patterned on the inside that feels quite soft and warm. Glad I bought one of each color.
