My current laptop was bought openbox in 2019 'good condition' essentially new.
I'm just saying this goes down to $650 brand new. An open-box under $500 would be hot.
Not bad deal if you need now.

This certainly doesn't "goes down" to $650. It was that price just once, and that too, during holiday season. It has never touched that price since.

Watch for password protected BIOS. I bought an open box from BB a while back. I was busy and traveling for work and didn't check that until after the 2 week return policy was over. Was planning on running Linux on it but can't because I can't disable secure boot or make any other changes to BIOS settings. Best Buy basically told me I was out of luck. Wouldn't help have ASUS fix it and wouldn't take it back.

I have the 2023 model (Q425M) with the Core Ultra 7 155H, it was also a Best Buy open box (good) condition. It had a small mark on the underside of the notebook, out of sight and nothing substantial. It also had some glue from tape on the bottom, a dab of goo off and it was completely removed. The laptop looks brand new. It was already registered when I tried to register it with the My ASUS software, didn't matter really because it only had a few months left on the warranty. I also bought an open box Asus G16 Zephyrus (excellent) condition, it looked brand new. I say spend the few extra bucks for good or excellent.

This thing is a true ultrabook. The chassis is metal, super light, super thin, the OLED screen is bright, the colors pop, AND you can actually game with the Intel Arc GPU. It's exactly what I was looking for, a light powerful laptop for when I travel.
