This thing is weak. 250 ft lbs of fastening torque and 410 ft lbs of breakaway. Meanwhile, the Ridgid mid-torque has 500 ft lbs of fastening and 650 breakaway, and it frequently goes on sale for $80-$90. It was just on sale last week for $81. Unless you really think this is all the power you need, it's best to wait for that one again. Not to mention that Ridgid stuff has a lifetime warranty.

I used to think that X torque = better as well... But when you actually use a Bosch and feel how smooth it is. How little impact comes back into your hand, and how rarely you need to use their warranty, it will all make sense.

No tool brand is perfect. The Bosch 18v batteries aren't the greatest it will all make sense.

No tool brand is perfect. The Bosch 18v batteries aren't the greatest in terms of their lifespan. And their lineup isn't so large that they end up having to spend 4 months trying to fit them all into one camera shot for promos. Lol. Bit what bosch does right most often is precision and smoothness. At the end of the day, and after slamming in hundreds lags, your hand isn't numb. You don't notice that tweak in your wrist.... and you don't feel like you tried to break the world record for a lot lizard at the Flying J in Poughkeepsie! (Which currently stands at 1,328. RIP Grandma.) 🤣

I own the Ridgid mid-torque and bought this so I can get to the brake caliper bolts. The Ridgid is too big for that purpose. 410 ft.lb break away torque should also take care a lot of lug nuts.

This is what nobody seems to get right here. The details add up a lot more than the raw breakaway torque, and anyone needing a bazillion pounds will use the bigger tool.

Me: I use the bosch freak impact driver (the one that accepts 1/4" hex and 1/2" square in a single anvil), 95% of the time on the lowest setting. Battery lasts for weeks lol. Great trigger control

Tool people...Would this be good to keep in my car? I have a set of tools im puitting together to keep in my car incase I need to change a tire. either mine or someone elses...Would this be good enough to quickly remove and replace lug nuts for a lot of vehicles?

Right now im using a 12v Skil driver with a socket on it lol. I break the nuts loose with the stupid tooll that comes in most cars then use the driver to remove them and reapply before tightening with the same tool but it would be nice to just have one that would work. The 12v skil is awesome but not enough to break the lug nuts loose.

I do this just to help people out. I saw a video of someone who did it. They had a jack and a impact in their car and helped someone swap a blown tire in like 2 minutes.
