These big clunky Chargers always want to fall out of the wall socket if you're hanging them on the wall. If the socket is on the ground then it's fine.

They probably licensed the name, or somebody bough the rights to use the name to market cheap chargers to Gen X folks. Nostalgia is a thing.

30w max - ouch. If you plan to charge phones and tablets I'd suggest getting one with higher wattage (like at least 15w per device you want to charge)

If you want a low wattage option - here's a smaller 40w option that's less expensive and more compact:

30W split between 4 ports. A port with less than 10W means it's less than 2 amps (10 Watts = 5 Volts x 2 Amps), which is pretty slow.

"Total output is 30W, and when all four are in use, it distributes power intelligently so everything gets what it needs" <-- I'm not exactly sure what they mean by intelligently distributing power but maybe this charger will be sufficient for those charging overnight for 8 hours.

Agreed as paying a high price for the form factor for minimal power. Suggest to stick with the smaller chargers with less ports-especially if charging on a plane as these things *never* stay in the socket. Prefer Anker products for quality/price.

Their 5.25" floppy disks were pretty popular too.

AI says no...
"Licensing Speculation: While some user speculation suggests the name might be licensed (similar to Motorola's licensing model), the current high-end GaN product lineup is actively pushed as part of Verbatim's "Solutions for Everyday", rather than a passive licensing agreement."

that said, WTF does Verbatim know about GaN chargers??? which is kinda shown by this huge 30W (shared) product, with 3 USB-As Wink

This is basically going to take up 2 to 3 sockets due to its size and orientation.
