Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Once S26U arrives, i simply insert it in S26U, power on, go through the setup and install GFi app and activate the device? Or setup the device on WiFI, install the GFi app and then insert the physical SIM? Just making sure I follow the correct steps...don't see any difference between the two, but just making sure. Thanks.

1. Open an account with flexible plan. Use unmentionable code from existing user for $60 credit.
2. Just to be safe, wait for the first bill to be generated before ordering the phone. This will take couple of days. At the very least wait for a day but I suggest waiting for the first bill generation.
3. Once the phone is shipped you need to activate the phone within 30 days. At this point another counter for new user r**f credit is also running down from 30 days. I strongly suggest you wait for that counter to hit zero before you activate the phone. All the counters will be shown on FI app-billing-Track FI saving and instant rebate.
4. Once the phone is activated on FI by downloading the FI app, you should wait for a day for the counter to go down by 1. At this point you can disable/remove the eSIM and use your current provider.
5. At no point during 120 days move the FI SIM to another phone (i.e. do not install FI app on any other phone and log into this FI account). Once the counter reaches 0 you can cancel the line or pause it for next deal.
I signed up for a new Fi account on the Flex plan using the $60 promo code mentioned in the original post and activated it on my existing S23 Ultra via eSIM. My primary line (US Mobile) is on a physical SIM in the same phone.
After activation, I saw the $650 offer and went ahead and ordered the device. I didn't notice the recommendation to wait until the first billing cycle until after placing the order, so I'm hoping that doesn't cause any issues.
Once the $60 credit countdown hits zero (30 days from today), I plan to uninstall Fi from the S23U and remove the eSIM. I'll then install Fi and set up the eSIM on the S26U. After waiting a day, I'll move my primary carrier's physical SIM over to the S26U and keep Fi on eSIM. I'll set the psim as primary for data and everything else although I don't plan on using Fi for anything.
I'll wait the full 120 days until the device promo countdown reaches zero, then pause the Fi account and continue pausing it every 90 days after that.
From what I understand about the Google Fi promo on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (512GB):
- Retail is ~$1,299
- $650 instant discount shows at checkout
- So upfront phone cost is ~$649 + tax
- Must keep service active for 120 consecutive days on Flexible or Unlimited Premium
- Flexible plan is ~$20/month
- 4 months ≈ $80 in service
So total real out-of-pocket to keep the phone after 120 days would be roughly:$649 + ~$80 = ~$729 + tax
No trade-in required.
After 120 days, line can be cancelled without chargeback, correct?
Can other new Fi users confirm they are seeing the full $650 instant discount at checkout?
The only thing I'm confused or need clarification on is using the eSim in another phone. Since I've activated it on my current phone and will be activating it again on the S26, this is normal procedure, correct?
