Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

I went to best buy to check the screen quality today. the screen quality is definitely lower than the s25u, it lacks sharpness and text edges are more jagged but I did not notice any uneasiness on my eyes in my 15 mins of use. Given the fact last year we did not receive the free storage upgrade but this time we did and the memory prices have increased significantly, I decided not to cancel the order but I will definitely not pay anywhere close to the full price. Very disappointed as samsung manufacturers the 10bit panels used in iPhone and they them self put the low quality 8 bit panels on there phones if I have to pay $1300 I will definitely go with apple just my 2 cents.
Yeah I didn't notice any eye strain but I mean 10 minutes at the store is not going to do that lol. I did notice the viewing angles were dramatically worse than my pixel 9 Pro XL. And yes that is with privacy mode off. Obviously privacy mode on the viewing angles aren't existent. I think the privacy mode is really cool for me because I travel a lot on the plane and I just kind of like the fact that I can just turn on privacy mode when I want to and then I can have it off all the time when I don't need it. Also my pixel 9 Pro XL has 128 GB of storage. I'm always offloading it to my 2 TB laptop. Thank God this has so much memory. 512 is going to be awesome to go upgrade to. Maybe I can toss a few games on and they actually will play cuz the chip is good and I actually have space for them lol

Yeah, for example I sold my s25u for $780 and ordered s26u for $783 after tax. My number is with FI so I will have the service anyway but you have to add that cost if you are not on Fi
$25 for 4 months $100 not shabby. Then I put it back on pause till the Pixel 11 Pro and repeat haha. I did the Pixel 10 Pro last year and then went on pause. Sold that phone though. Kept using my Pixel 9 Pro XL. This time though I'm going to sell my 128gb 9xl I'm looking forward to having 512 GB of storage!

yes I also noticed the viewing angel is poor. Just now learned the memory is not UFS4.1, ITS SAME 4.0. My card got charged today but it seems I can still cancel the pre-order. S26U just has too many cost cutting, now seriously debating whether to cancel the order or not.

It will move the service to the S26U eSIM once you run the FI app so the old pSIM will become invalid.
Thank you!

Also if you put the pSIM *before* you run the FI app it should detect it and the phone should be activated with that SIM. In either case, your line will remain unchanged.

My account is paused currently and waiting on the order to arrive.
Should I UNPAUSE PRIOR to activation on the s26 ultra, or activate and it will unpause as part of the process?

You should unpause it before.

Before activation.

edit: Because I think I your status during the time of activation matters to the promo. if you see the checkbox "you ordered the phone from FI" from the rebate tracker is showing up after you ordered you should be good.

You will need the active plan when you activate the phone. Whether you active the plan now or later doesn't really make a difference because you will receive the phone on 3/11. It's just a few days away. If you really want to be safe active now and order the phone. Just a few days extra. The most important thing is keep the line active for 120 days from the activation date.

If they order the phone the delivery might be later than 3/11 but what you said is what they should do.
