Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

What's the process of transfering the ESIM from my old phone to the new phone?

Do I just install the Fi app on the new phone and it does everything for me or should I delete the Fi app on the old phone and ESIM first?

So, Here what it needed to be done when you had an older non active account and you activated to take advantage of this offer.

- I had one non active account which I took advantage of s24 last year.
- With that account, I had activated on 02/02 on same s24 via eSim.
- Promotion showed up same day but waited 24 hrs to order the s25U phone.
- Phone came on 02/06.
- Before turn on new phone, got in chat with support and asked:
I have my google fi service on my older phone via esim.. i got new phone s25 ultra with promotion.. i want to transfer my google fi number to new phone and activate my new phone without loosing my promotion.. can you please help?
- He started with below steps:
- Delete e-sim from your old device. (VERY IMPORTANT. He made sure couple of times if I had deleted or not)
- Once deleted it, install google fi app with same Google account in your new device s25U and then open the app and activate e-sim in new device.
- During that process, it will ask: "fi service is associated with a diffn number.. move your number to this phone." ---> select Move number.
- Once done, your number will transfer.
- It was showing 120 days count on 02/07 and as of today 02/09, when i checked it is showing 118 days..

The key part was
eSim needs to be deleted from older device before you activate on newer device.
I recommend that you active new phone with support guy to make sure he understands that you would like to take advantage of this promotion.

My plan is to wait for couple of more days and factory reset s25U to use with other provider. Need to look at if at that point counter still goes down daily.

UPDATE:
Did factory reset s25U after deleting fi eSim. After that started to use that phone with other provider. Fi saving day counter is still going down on daily basis.

Yeah, my friend was referred by another friend who does this Galaxy Ultra deal on an annual basis like me.

My son hasn't gotten an error message after shipping. He also ordered 1 day after activating his new Fi service.

I never delete my eSIM on the old phone. Fi app moves the service at which point old phone will start giving out error that Fi is not active in that phone anymore but then again I am an existing user with Fi. You can delete the eSIM just to be safe I guess.

I can't do that but the same cart I had yesterday is $200 more than this morning.

It's a prepaid plan so you'll get charged the full month right at the beginning even if you pause the plan. But if you pause before using up the full month, the remaining days of the month after you pause will show up in your account as credit. In the future if you unpause the plan, you'll get to start using those credit. Not until you use up all the credit, which means you cumulatively use up a full month, that you'll get billed again for the next month.

I think many are waiting for 21 day to be over before activating so I guess we should here more end of next week or a bit later.

new flex plan user. opened acct on 2/26 then got bill on mar 2 which i then ordered phone.
phone arrive 3/11. Shall i wait until 3/23 to activate the phone?
btw, i dont see any return date anywhere.

I had the same new user activation issue. After contacting customer service (specifically the promotions team) they'll fix the error for you! The regular support agents aren't aware of the issue and will most likely dismiss it and say you're somehow against the terms for the promotion, but if you connect with them and ask for this to be investigated by the promotions team, that team will help fix the issue. I'm now able to see the 120 day countdown on my S26 Ultra!
