The $899 retail price is for the 256GB model. It's $1099 retail for the 512GB model. Amazon is giving you a free upgrade on the storage capacity, plus a $100 Amazon gift card, all without any trade-in overhead. It's not a bad deal for a launch price.

Look at an example below, oversaturated on Samsung s25, crushed dark colors from oversaturation, etc. That's Samsung whole gimmick to their camera, as some people like it I guess, they oversaturate colors to make images pop. Just look at the camera specs. It's all the same specs as the last gen camera, if they did anything to the colors, it's all software and could easily be ported to previous cameras. Hell, it's the same camera hardware as my S24, lol. But they want to show a gimmick to make you upgrade. You're essentially paying $1,000 for better post-process software update. 😅

I bought a $180 Samsung A13 like three years ago and run it without a case or screen protector. It works fine.
