i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

i just did some testing, and $200 discount shows up on s26 plus and 26 ultra , but not on the s26 base.

At this point I feel like we need opening ceremony for this deal each year. Looking forward to the 1000+ page thread discussion on this. Let phase 1 begin: acquire base s26 model with any crappy phone trade in. Next phase: ymmv trade-in s26 for better models

Pre-ordered an S26, went to store for the recent P10P deal, is annoying at times how incompetent some of the reps are in spite of clear direction "PAY IN FULL AND UPGRADE MY LINE". Took like an hour for one trade in because they have this process where you have to take your trade in phone and scan a code to test the functionality through several tests.

They started that last year. Same thing happened with me with the P10P. I didn't get mad at the rep because the rep herself was getting frustrated at all the dumb testing and it wasn't even working half the time. Apparently it's required before they take the device in now.

Probably wasted a good 15-20min waiting for the tests to complete.

The extra $200 discount is only for NEW Internet customers that port a number in and add 2 lines. Once you get to checkout as an existing customer that $200 discount disappears.

Did not see a thread for a Best Buy S26 Ultra trade-in offer. It seems BB is offering a ram upgrade offer. It's 512gb for $1299.99. They are giving me $800 trade-in offer for my S24 Ultra 512GB. My problem is my Titanium Blue is not listed in the 4 colors they list for trade-in. I wonder if I pick black and show up with the Titanium Blue they will reject me?

Also, in-store tax is applied after trade-in credit, but online tax is calculated on the full price.
