i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

i just did some testing, and $200 discount shows up on s26 plus and 26 ultra , but not on the s26 base.

last year on the S25 deal, I trade in my locked pixel 9 financed phone from t-mobile. Won't finish paying that Pixel for another 6 months....

Has anyone signed up as new internet customer to get the best deal? I was wondering if you get the extra credit for 2 new S26 when you port 2 lines or if you get the extra credit just for one S26, and would one of the 2 lines be free for a year?

I currently have Spectrum internet with one line free for the year, use my own router and pay $41 monthly for the 500mb plan. Last year I got the amazing deals for 1 S25 and 2 S25+ . Would it be possible to cancel the account and have a family member sign up to get the new customer deal after porting in 2 lines (one google voice and one Lyca)? If so, I'd like to trade in one Moto Stylus 5G 2024 and one S25 to get one s26 (for free with trade in, in store if/when the promo becomes available in store) and one iphone 17 (before 03/10) for roughly about $200 on top of the s26 trade.

For in-store trade-in, do they count on the previous year? I hope they reset the clock or don't count on the previous year. I think I was ban because I was trade-in in-store too many times already. For my one line, I ported out, then ported in when they offered me the 2nd year free.

I wonder what they were going to do with all the trade-in locked phones from last few years. I doubt they can unlock all those locked phones.

I just got a used Galaxy S21 Ultra for $200 or so. It's awesome. I'm not clear on what an upgrade is for though.

I went in store to trade in 2 phones and complete the pre-order and pay in full. It didn't work. The in-store system was not allowing it to payoff in full upfront and receive the $700 off. Will wait until release date to try again, unless someone else has other tips.

I placed a pre-order at Best buy with trad-in. Does the old device for trade-in have to purchased from best buy?
I pre-ordered a s26 ultra, trade in my s25+(Spectrum unlocked), the invoice shows a trade-in s25+ with Best Buy SKU. Does that mean the old device has to be purchased from Best buy?

No, you need IMEI and condition match. SKU doesn't matter for Bestbuy.
