i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
The spectrum tradein portal is giving 3 options
1. Scan QR code - With this, we just need to take the phone and UPS will pack it for us
2. Print UPS Shipping label - We need to print the shipping label and pack it ourselves.
3. Request Return Kit - They will send the return kit and we pack and drop it off at USPS
For all the folks who did this earlier, what is the best way among these 3 options?

I always do (1). I come in with the phone powered on, then once they scan the QR code, I take video of the shipping label they generate along with the IMEI diaplayed on the phone and try to capture the condition of the phone, then shut it off. Haven't needed the video before, but I prefer to have it.

Ups qr code is best. 2 years ago usps was a headache. 1 year ago ups worked well and was able to track. Sent mine ups this morning.
Anyone seeing an error "Item with the pass-in identifier does not exist." while downloading the shipping label for the trade in device.? I am trying with correct offer# and zip., but no luck. Thanks in advance if you have any advice.

Something changed last year. I did the trade-ins online for both the Fold7 and Fold6 deals. For the Fold7, the credit posted two months after Assurant approved it and didn't include taxes. For the Fold6, the credit appeared a couple of weeks after approval and did include taxes.
Just call customer care as soon as trade in shows delivered and verified, they will immediately reimburse the money to the card used for purchase. I did this every single time with most recent with fold 7, if you wait for the process it will take 30 - 90 days.
Also DO NOT ship your trade in until you have physically received the phone, i once shipped my trade in while fedex driver was enroute , for some reason the package was recalled and i never received the phone and lost my trade in.
Phone will not automatically lock after 60 days, just call customer care and they will do it immediately as long as it has been 60 days.
Has anyone been turned down for the deal in store one year and then been successful trading in store the next year? Got turned down in store had to do everything online last year. I really don't want to go in store and waste time again if there's no chance.

Avoid store as much as you can. It completely depends on the person you are dealing with, i got once turned down, next time i made sure that person wasn't on the counter and it went fine.

I would avoid store at all cost.
Much easier to get rid of complete garbage trade in phones instantly without worrying about getting turned down by mail.

I have traded about more than 20 phones with Samsung trade in deals and Spectrum. As long as you are following the rules and have documentation you shouldn't have any issues. Store is going to be a hit or miss.

just canceled my initial s26 ultra pre-order cus i had to cancel my CC i used for the payment method, and processed a new pre-order. Hopefully it ships sooner rather than later. Also i noticed one of the colorways is already out of stock for the s26 ultra. So if you're still thinking about pre-ordering it, perhaps do it soon.
