i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

Did you pay the balance upfront or in installments?
I told the lady twice I wanted to pay the balance in full and she ran my card. It wasn't until I left and got the email from charter that I realized she put me on a 36 month installment.

where did I say I'll get 17e? still have those 5 s26 along with the now $1240 in apple store GCs trading in the found $99 16e phones (with 1 month data plans) I grabbed porting out the extra lines.
You replied to some guy who traded in 2 s26 into 2 17e, then you directly replied, "nice i did 5"
I inferred that you meant 5 17e.

I have 470 cash and need a new phone, which is the best option of these 2 (i just want which ever phone would be worth more by the time the pixel 11 comes out because im trading whichever phone for an 11 pro xl either through spectrum or Best Buy): Buy the moto g and trade it in plus 400 cash for an s26+, or buy the moto g then trade it for an s26 and pay the 200 difference, then trade that s26 and another 200 for the iPhone Air. Both options are essentially paying 400 plus a moto g for the iPhone Air or S26+. Just want to know which phone would likely hold more value from now until around September.

iPhone Air lost the most value out of all the newer Apple phones as it loses its gimmick appeal quickly, just buy used one on local market.

Thank you for trying it out. Do you have another unlocked phone available that you can put on the account instead of S26 that is currently active?
That would test the theory of "active eSIM" check that somebody reported earlier (page 82-86 of this thread or so) with their S26 to iPhone 17e and then tried trading spectrum S26 and it worked, or something along the lines.
In this sequence >>> spectrum S26 on line 1 >>> temporarily switch line 1 to another eSIM (any non-S26 phone), give a bit of time (a day or so) for system to update and then try using initial S26 from spectrum as trade-in phone via eSIM1.
Appreciate you guys trying.😄
I forgot to mention that I swapped out the fully paid S26 to a S25 that I had before my attempt. So the S26 was fully paid and was not associated with an active line or active esim.

Yeah I did the same thing it doesn't make a difference these S26 are all blacklisted from getting the $700 trade bonus on S26.

yeah, the rodeo has stopped, but it's been a great 3 years in the past cycling the phones and making decent margins since the s23 series

This cycle, still profitable but not as awesome as before.

Tried to read through as many of the pages of this thread as possible and seeing some conflicting info on the more recent pages so wanted to see if someone could help me confirm whether or not the below approach would work (would love if someone has a recently acquired Spectrum S26 they could test with).

Current setup: 1 Unlimited Plus line w/BYOD device owned outright.

Desired Approach: (1) TODAY - trade in junk phone for $700 credit on S26 so $199 + taxes & fees (less whatever minor trade in credit I receive). (2) TOMORROW - trade in S26 acquired today for iPhone Air for $190 + taxes & fees ($799 - $409 S26 trade value + $200 Trade Bonus).

Goal is to get the iPhone Air for $389 + taxes & 2 activation fees (basically using the S26 deal to get an extra $209 of trade value on the device) but timing matters because the doubled trade bonus ($200 total) for the iPhone Air is scheduled to expire tomorrow, and don't know if going back to back will nullify anything.

TLDR: Can I get an S26 on the trade-in promo today, and turn around and use that device for a trade on the same account tomorrow & still be eligible for the $200 bonus trade value on the iPhone Air? Not looking to double-dip on the Samsung $700 bonus as it looks like that's closed

Lol only one store locally unfortunately (but the narrative would be true - I don't have anything against Android, but I've been on iPhone since the first one launched in 2007 so I'm far too locked in to ever change -- which I know brings a smile to Tim Cook's face)

I just got 2 S26 with 2 $20 new lines for $231 for each S26. I traded in Motorola g 5g 2025 for each S26. In-store traded in great with no bs questions. It took them at least 30 minutes to process and they have to test the trade-in phone's camera with their special camera clipboard tool and I am kind of surprised too. This was the 1st time to see them doing camera test.
