i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

i just did some testing, and $200 discount shows up on s26 plus and 26 ultra , but not on the s26 base.

I exposed the lie from the Spectrum agent. He denied me because he told me that somehow his store software didn't take Motorola G 5G 2025; then I asked him can you show me the system denied Motorola g 5g 2025. Then he processed my trade-in for Ultra. Unbelievable...

Nice. I feel like I might have hesitated to ask that since you risk antagonizing the rep after which they might turn the rest of the reps against you and then that store is no go for a long time.

@okhello When and how your first S26 will get unlocked then ? since it got replaced with S26 Ultra now.

Nvm, just checked. Looks like they have updated the promotion with additional $400 off on the ultra.

Damn, I traded in my S25+ and paid $461 cash to get the Ultra only 19 days ago. If only it was within the 14 days window, I'd have returned the phone, paid the $50 restocking fees and applied the credits towards another Ultra, saving me few hundred dollars, if only that was possible Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)Frown

Cool. However, the Ultra is ($899.99 - $705) plus tax, so how did the total come out to $248? It should be less.
I just visited two stores, and they seem to be making things up. The first store told me they were out of stock, and the second one claimed my account only allows for shipping. Both of them stated that in order to qualify for the promotion, I have to finance the phone and receive bill credits over 36 months.
I am probably done with this promotion if I don't want to order online; it's still cheaper than the base S26 without a tax refund.

In past years, as long as you had one active line remaining, you could insert the SIM card into the phone you wanted to unlock and contact customer service to have it unlocked once the 60-day period had been met.

It should be around the same price of S26; but damn they charged me tax $49 instead $12. I think a large portion of tax must be from $400 promotion; but hey $248 for ultra version, that is fricken awesome. Here is the details:

Oh I forgot one thing, since l used the existing line $20 per month, they charged me $15 for prorated usage from 4/14 - 4/30. WTF... This $15 is Included into the May bill. So if you don't want any charge, use the free unlimited line for trade in.

We both spoke nicely to each other. I wasn't angry or anything. He could still deny me if he wants too; but he was a nice guy after all. 😀😀 Not like the lady in this same store denied me last month because I used Motorola g 2025 which was not active in my account. I argued with her; but she consistently denied me for trade-in S26. Then I left.

Damn I totally missed this $400 promotion today. I went in and traded in an old S23 for S26 this morning thinking this is the best I'll get only to come here afterwards and find out about the new promo. Now i've got a bunch of S26s that I can't even trade in for the S26U.

Normally for in-store trade-in, they only charge tax on the difference; but now they are offering additional $400 promotion, then they add the tax of the $400 promotion to the total.
