i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

Just received my confirmation email. Assurant accepted the Moto 5G 2025 64GB that is locked to Straight Talk, showing a $5 credit and $700 promotion.
What carrier did you select during trade in

Did you mistype the IMEI? I did on one try. I didn't have this phone, but it's on the list for other so it should be accepted.
Yes you are right, I typed the serial number from box instead of imei. It worked now thanks

I selected Other, or whatever the option is for not matching any of the listed carriers.

To be more clear, I picked "Other", then "Motorola", then "MOTO G 5G". A 2025 option was not available. When the email came to ship in, it listed the correct "XT2513V" model.

Damn I totally missed this $400 promotion today. I went in and traded in an old S23 for S26 this morning thinking this is the best I'll get only to come here afterwards and find out about the new promo. Now i've got a bunch of S26s that I can't even trade in for the S26U.
How many were you able to do in store and online

I see both options

Moto G 5G
Moto G 5G 2025

I am confused now since you selected the generic moto g 5g instead of the moto g 5g 2025

Agree. Unless you want the pen and privacy, the plus version is the best, imo.
The cameras are literally the same from S22+.

S21 to S22 camera upgrade is also miniscule.

Is what I would like to say if it was msrp. But seeing these prices, plus version is really good value. Idk who are buying msrp prices when the base and plus are so outdated.

No idea, but I think it will work if you do it online.
Probably you already addressed it before. But for this cycle, was you able to get the 2nd $700 promotion on the same line? I got an S26 when opening a free line a few weeks ago, and I am thinking to get an S26+ on this line (with full discount $700+$400) by trading a WalMart Moto G 2025, and I will do it online. Not sure if I need to replace the S26 on the line by a unlocked phone first before proceeding? Thanks!

Since the Moto G 5G 2025 is available as an option, select that. Maybe I was mistaken in what I remembered; sorry for the confusion.

Yes, I was able to trade in Moto g 5g 2025 in-store or online in the same line and the line is either the free unlimited line or the $20 per month line. No need to replace S26 with an unlocked phone. The reason I normally replace the new phone with my old unlocked phone in my free line is because I am using it everyday. You got three days left. Try in-store, then online to maximize this deal.

Were you able to do this more than once this week on the same line? I did one before this promo and one with this promo. When I said I would open a new line I was told only if I port in a new number? That is a new one on me.

Hit a wrinkle. My local store definitely got the memo. Only over 36 months and only one of these deals per line. Went on about how this is such a special deal. Also told me someone had the nerve to try and do three phones on the same account. Also said plenty of phones in stock. Offered to open a second line and he said I had to port a number in for this deal to work on a second line?? Said that is definitely not a requirement but he wouldn't budge. Said he would try pay in full if I ported in a new number. Have two accounts both of which have a free line and have used this weeks promotion on them once. On the account he didn't look at yesterday, I changed my new phone to an old phone that was not bought from spectrum and that is now what shows on the account. Can open a second by the gig line on line with a byod but that would ironically take away their commission. If I trade in the store and I accept the 36 months payment and convert it later and get the credit back to my card, do I pay the full tax like if trading in online or the instore tax rate? No numbers to port in lying around but could get a $5 one from Number Barn. Wondering if worth the trouble. Don't want to waste goodwill with my local store.
As always, appreciate feedback. Thanks
