$253 shipped Not bad. Hook it up to a usb-c dock and you got a nice computer.

Okay who is a reliable brand then? If you say ASUS then you need your head checked.

pretty cool form factor could make a cool productivity hybrid desktop config powerful enough for really any productivity software with an external monitor plis you have the touch capability and it has a wacom digitizer in it so it would double as an art/drawing/photoshop input surface. $217 is not crazy for a full featured tablet with windows 11 and 16 gigs of ram. It will perform better than a $200 android tablet, being mindful of a different software experience, battery life is probably not gonna blow your mind but if you want a full OS tablet that doubles as a non performance desktop, or a laptop with a keyboard folio solution (i wouldnt pay $200 for the OEM one). This could be a pretty photo displaying plex server if you reallyt wanted to.

I still have the old 5290 (basically the 12" version of this). One of the best machines I've ever owned and my portable daily driver for years FWIW. 100% Dell can make a Surface Clone that doesn't suck.

How can I add an extended warranty? There seems to be no option available until the last screen to check out.

Imagine how battery life is. That's my concern...
You can test the battery when you get it. If it's bad send it back.

Intel 11th gen - I'd avoid
Sure it's not latest gen. But it more than enough is windows 11 compliant. Also it's about 200$ for a business class windows tablet that's probably designed to take a beating and keep on ticking. Think of any other windows tablet out there and you will find celeron N series 2 core chip flimsy plastic Chinese knock off brand tablets. Or Microsoft surface tablets for 1500$.

Intel i7 1180G7 cpu passmark score is 7839

To put that into perspective, intels 8 and 10th gen CPUs are in the 6000-6300 range. And those processors that are previous gen are also windows 11 compliant and work just fine.

So 11th gen isn't a bad cpu. To put that into perspective again, search windows 11 tablet on Amazon, you will find several in the 250-300$ range. And many of them feature the intel core m3-8100Y 2 core cpu which has a passmark score of 2759.

So the dell is cheaper, and about 3x faster despite being older. And you can get yourself a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for it no big deal.

The memory LPDDR4X SDRAM is soldered in & not upgradable. I have an older Dell Latitude from Dell refurbished and some of the memory blocks went bad. You can't replace it at all.
Windows would crash all the time so I switched to Mint Ubuntu & marked those blocks bad. It worked ok now.

On the product page, there's no info on Returns, if the item is not satisfactory, can we return it back without restocking fee?
I never purchased a Refurb from Dell and don't have much experience, anybody please comment what's the return T&C for Dell Refurbs?

Windows 10 Professional is already end of the life cycle and no more support from Microsoft and this PC being way old wondering if we try to upgrade to Win 11, would there be a challenge finding device drivers? Anybody tried upgrading to 11?

Dell has made enough money to give away 6 billion. What, are you typing from the Gateway PC you're extra proud of or something?

I have one of these and use it often. Love it. They are very easy to work on if needing parts or some upgrades. Basically a repairable Surface Pro.
I have this device from the sale a few years ago and it's great for youtube/web/etc--much better than the surface pro's I had before and way cheaper. Also when the battery goes bad (all devices all manufacturers this eventually happens), change the battery yourself per Dell's instructions/very user friendly/user-serviceable: https://www.dell.com/support/reso...353fb86872 --try and do that on a surface pro 🤯

I have this device and love it. I use it as you described...I have a dock with a keyboard for when I need a keyboard. Othwerwise, I use it as a tablet. Websites installed as Edge PWAs make it feel more like a tablet. Very nice display.
Still, the keyboard isn't that expensive: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_...m570.l1313
