At the bottom of the T&C, it says "Max 4 discounted devices/account." Is the "max 4 discount devices" for this promotion only, or the account in general? I currently have 4 devices on payment plans with promotion credits. Can I buy 2 more devices on this promotion (6 promotion credits total)? I have 2 more lines that do not have any promotion attached.

4 devices per unique promotion code per account, stacking different promos on the same line are allowed in the system but YMMV [reddit.com].

From what I understand, you still have to trade in one of the eligible devices listed (iPhone 13 Pro → 16 series, Galaxy S21 Ultra → S25 / Fold / Flip, etc.) to get the full $1.1k credit, even if it's broken or non-functional. Had some questions:
* Where are people sourcing cheap broken units from? e.g., eBay, Swappa, facebook marketplace?
* Does purchasing a damaged trade-in vs. one in good condition really save that much money?

There are multiple listings on ebay for broken S21+ under $100 as of now, worth 1.1k trade-in. However, buying and waiting for the trade-in to ship is pretty risky; this loophole may be fixed by the time it arrives.

Do you have Costco? Call up the Costco T-mobile phone line and work with someone there. I was confused when I first saw the $0 trade-in too, but the representative explained it to me. Also, if you order through the Costco line, you get a $100 costco gift card and they waive the $35 activation fee. I've done multiple promos through this phone line. You just need your Costco membership ID and the IMEI of the phone you want to trade in. https://www.costco.com/t-mobile-b...wcase.html
Is the costco promo the same with any phone, on the go5g plus plan? Or is Costco offering like T-Mobile app where it has to be a working phone?

It's just adding Costco benefits to the existing deals. When you call the Costco T-Mobile line, you are just talking to T-Mobile customer service that specialize in throwing in the Costco benefits; aka the free activation and the $100 gift card at Costco.

Does $35 device connection fee apply if you upgrade through Samsung.com?

This is tempting, I have a S23 Ultra sitting in a drawer. It is usable, but has a cracked screen. Samsung is showing $1100 tradein towards the S26 Ultra, I would only be paying $200 + tax out of pocket and that would be stretched over 24 months. That is cheaper than getting the screen replaced on the S23.
Only thing holding me back is not wanting to get locked into Tmobile for another 2 years.
well duh! That's the whole point of these deals with credit spread out for years! Locking you into a 2 -3 year deal!

i hear ya, i did it back in 2024 where I got 4 s24 ultra's and one s24 plus basically for free with Tmobile thru Costco by traded in old galaxy s9 phones. Costco added about $100 gift card per phone, waived the $35 per line activation, and had the double your storage promotion too. I also gained Netflix for free since my previous plan did not have it. That scenario felt worth it to me for being locked into Tmobile for 2 years and paying a slightly high per month phone line cost (versus a prepaid service).

This time around, the s24 phones are working perfectly fine and not sure i want to do the tmobile payment plan for just one line. So far just skipping on this deal.

What plan were/are you on? Did you have to add lines for that deal? What is your monthly cost? That seems like a pretty great deal depending on monthly premium over a cheaper plan. (I currently have Simple Choice with 5 lines for $103/month and no active promotions)

I am on the Go5G Plus plan. my bill is $140 a month including all taxes and fees for 5 lines. it was like $35 per line and then I have the 20% insider discount being taken off the entire bill.

Included Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV. I find Hulu to have no value to me and the Apple TV I just unsubscribed to this year because T-Mobile started charging $3 a month for it.

Includes the other stuff too like 50GB of hotspot per line which is a lifesaver for me with little kids.

Do you think they would even take Google or apple locked phones? Since I can't even turn it on

I tried to login to my T-Mobile account but it is showing an error indicating that the account type is not supported though I'm on my individual account with 8 lines on Go5G Plus plan. Anyone else?
