Highly recommend to get the Stainless Steel hangers you can find on Amazon. Game changer ! Lasts almost forever! Plastic hangers tend to break even the velvet hangers

Velvet hangers suck. The hook doesn't swivel naturally (you can force it, but once you do, the hook will soon dislodge from the hanger). They are cheap plastic and break with any reasonable pressure (over time), and they cling to material making it unnecessarily difficult to insert the hanger from the bottom of a shirt/blouse up through the fabric and into the neck hole. Buy wood or some other more robust, less clingy material.

I like the Better Homes and Gardens velvet hangers from Walmart. You can get a pack of 100 in certain colors for $24.97. The hook swivels without any issues. I have kids who are rough on the hangers and have tried other brands that they destroyed, but the Better Homes ones are pretty tough and don't break easily. I suppose they do cling a bit, but I find that preferable because clothes don't easily slip off of them. I have tried a lot of different styles and brands and while my favorite probably are also Better Homes from Walmart but the non-slip rubber hangers they are 60.8 cents each vs. 25 cents each for the velvet ones. I didn't find it worth the additional cost.

Yeah I got mine from Costco 100 for $20, don't remember the brand and have held up well. Occassionally one breaks but its rare and usually because my closet is just jam packed so its hard to remove a single item without some forsce

I have the costco ones for long term storage vs wooden hangers (ikea ones) for my dailies, super annoying to use these since they tend to grab on every type of fabric you're clothes are made of so you can't slide them through like a t-shirt. cheap yes, but anything more than storage I think would be a hassle.

My wife just got home from Costco bragging about getting two 50 count (one black, one white) hangers for $9 in store. I do not know the brand, but they are velvet/flocked as she's already started switching out out older plastic ones.

Sam's club has 50 velvet hangers for $8.75. They are great quality and never breaks even with heavy winter coats. You don't need to waste your money on these cheap Chinesium things on Amazon.

Awful deal, terrible price for an off brand with no reliability guarantee.
Someone else mentioned the metal ones and those are great too - especially for tshirts and tighter necker shirts. I use velvet like these for items that need some friction to not fall off the hanger. I picked up a 50 pack of the metal ones for about $14 after coupon on Amazon recently.

I just ordered 150 of a different brand from sams club because of the fact that they Flex, and I'm hoping it means they don't break very easily

if you really need the Velvet aspect, they also have these, but they probably break a little easier than those rubberized ones.

I should mention both of these are 50 packs, and both of them are cheaper than the posted deal here.

I find it incredible that companies try to shill us a subgrade product for a higher price, and a chorus cacophony meets them of comments explaining why this is a worse deal and how many better deals there are out there. If this was a deal website worth our time, they would be focused on giving us consumers the best optimal deal, not on what makes them a buck.
