It is sad. It's gotten to the point where if I don't have time I only read the 1 and 2 star reviews. But just like you, I have been doing this enough to know how valid some of those reviews are. I also apply it to how I will use the product. For instance, in this product, I don't plan to use it as a daily driver. I have several chargers for that purpose. This will be strictly used for when I travel on a train and airplane to charge a phone or tablet. It's cheap enough that if I lose it, who cares. I would rather lose this than say my Anker charger that is much more expensive. My family has lost their fair share of chargers while traveling.
