Dude is coming to terms now. Why were they even priced so much around $70s. This is the right price.

I feel like this brand got lucky with good marketing and became a fashion trend. I had one pair given to me for Christmas a couple of years ago. Tried them on and they felt like they were made with some of the cheapest materials ever. I can't speak to their durability as I tried them on but ended up giving them to a friend after never actually wearing them anywhere. I don't have anything against quality brands but I tend to be annoyed by products that become super popular simply because of social trends and not because of actual quality or merit.

To anyone that is a huge fan of the brand or has invested in a lot of their products, please understand that this is all my personal opinion based on little experience and I FULLY understand that fact. If you feel differently, that's cool. I don't spend your money and don't need additional feedback about how much anyone loves the brand. Those opinions are on product reviews all over the Internet if I want to find them. I'm just providing an objective opinion while recognizing limited, but present, first hand experience with the brand.

Kind of agree but my son loves them so i have purchased (due to the aforementioned wear and tear from prob cheap material) quite a few pairs.

These are solid for that price. I have 4 or 5, all under $30. They are actually durable, pretty comfortable and easy to put on (bad back).

If they are easy to put on and off for trips to the mailbox I'm going to give them a try! Thanks for the post!

I was gifted a pair of these shoes, and I thought they were so ugly I could only wear them inside as slippers. Turns out they are comfortable as hell and held up over three years of daily use. They may not be fashionable, but they are well-made and super comfortable. I bought a second pair for when my first ones finally kick the bucket.

I think of them the same way (62 yo male who only occasionally GAF). They are socially/publicly acceptable slippers. They are my go to foot wear 90% of the time. The pair I currently have on 3-4 years old with thinning soles, but no holes. In for a pair of size 11 brown.

If it weren't for the thinning sole, you wouldn't know mine were three years old. It's the only part that wore. I wear them in the yard and while working on cars, throw them in the washer, and they look brand new.

LOL totally understandable. I've spent more money on products I felt were FAR more ridiculous for my two daughters

I tried one at a discount store and kinda liked it. Then I went with a Bruno Marc brand from Amazon and went back to try it the Hey dudes and man there is no cushion at all compared to the Bruno Marcs. Also, don't think they were worth the price tag.
