I have an older version of these (now oos/discontinued)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...th=1&psc=1
They're super cool and have used them on an airplane a handful of times. I'm nearsighted and only complaint is that they sometimes appear out of focus so I have to adjust them on how they fit. I had them paired with my pixel and just in the settings have the video go to the glasses and audio go to my airpods.

You're going to need to get a USB-C to AR Glasses and Charging Adapter. That way you can charge your device (laptop, phone, tablet, etc) at the same time you're using the glasses since the glasses use your device to power them.
This is the main one that most recommend, but it's $40
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...th=1&psc=1

That said there are cheaper options (especially if you go the aliexpress route). The one I got is the "USB C to AR Glasses and Charging Adapter, Charge and Play, Compatible 100W PD Fast Charging for iPhone 17-15, Switch OLED, Steam Deck Connected Viture/Rokid/Xreal AR Glasses 1080P 120Hz/4K 60Hz" but the seller store is now different with zero reviews. Not sure if it will work with these updated ones.

Get it from RayNeo online store instead and get additional 10% off using code DUDEMAN. Final comes out to about $225 + taxes

If you want to go through the hassle. You can do the "trade in" offer RayNeo have going through their official site. You don't actually have to send anything in, just attach a photo of "your" device. They will send you a code bound to your account and you can get the 4 pro for $199.

I bought 3s last year and there are already 2 newer models? They release 3 iterations per year and say they are "upgrades". Am I the only one feeling like they are selling unfinished products at different stages of development?

Damn, that's pretty cheap. But, I'm on the fence between this and the base Viture Luma, which is $359 with discount vs $250 for this. I like how the Luma has adjustable diopters. Anyone have any inputs on which way I should go? Really, $100 difference is negligible.

You shouldn't be on SD if $100 is peanuts for you Smilie

I'm in a similar situation. I've got the viture lite and wanted to upgrade but I'm not sure what to upgrade to. I love the idea but my current ar glasses are too blurry to do anything but watch videos occasionally. Anything else will lead to a headache quickly.
I was considering the meta quest 3 but prefer a more lightweight option like the glasses. Just not sure the optics are up to the task of warding off the headaches.

Do the new version have built in chip that let's you anchor the display like the xreal one?

https://us.shop.xreal.com/products/xreal-one-pro

The one thing I didn't like about older versions of the ar glasses is that you need a special app or software on the device you're connected to do anchor and other things. The xreal one has that built in so that you don't need the software.

I don't have a comprehensive list, but anywhere that has sbs/side by side content can work well with these. If you have 3d blu ray you will have to rip and convert to SBS. YouTube has quite a bit of SBS content as well as "other" sites. On my glasses you have to press volume up and brightness up to put SBS into 3d mode.

You don't stop liking deals just because you obtain more money. It's never fun to overpay.

Prescription insert is about $80 for Rayneo which makes it a wash. I chose Rayneo vs Virtue because of cable format (usb-c vs proprietary). For me this stays in travel pack and I don't want another cable.

The glasses have no built-in battery. They are powered via the battery in your phone/tablet/computer/etc. That's why I recommend the adapter - using these will drain your device battery quicker.
I disagree on these draining faster.
I actually get identical battery - when you use these the standard display is disabled. So it's not like you're running and additional external display and draining any faster.

It's click bait. This way they get more views. They'll learn......
I don't post often and the title automatically generated when i put the link in. I didn't make enough effort to edit it. Not everything is clickbait...lol.

i also put the price where the SD app asked for it to be placed, which was not in the title. Maybe...just maybe...the app could be more intuitive?

A profoundly ignorant statement. Couldn't be further from the truth.

One goes on SD because of a deeper understanding of the value of money.

Opportunity cost and time-value of money are integral. It's always expensive to be uninformed.
