Holy tariffs Batman. I remember when I bought mine (albeit several years ago) for $125 and I thought that was expensive!

I've read the newer versions don't hold up as well as the older versions. How is yours holding up?

It's still doing pretty good. It was one of my daily wears when I was living in NorCal. But now that I'm in SoCal, I hardly wear it due to the weather. I do use it as a midlayer when I'm skiing and it's done a good job of that. My Arcteryx SV Alpha on the other hand.... the seam tapes have all shredded and I'm just disappointed in the way Arcteryx isn't standing behind their product. They lost me as a customer which is disappointing because I thought I had found my forever brand.

I've heard great things about Arcteryx. Sorry to hear about the customer support. At that price, there are greater expectations. This brand is usually out of my price range but I've had really good experience with OR/MtnEquip/some MtnHW and they fit my price range better.

Arcteryx is no longer the brand that I buy anymore. I used to believe they stand behind their product till I have to use. I bought one jacket earlier for my Iceland trip. The zipper is crazily is hard to operate. I almost have to damage the zipper under crazy wind. After I went back from the trip, I contacted their support. I was expecting a decent customer service to take care of my jacket. After all, I just bought it like one month ago. It turns out they don't care about their customer after you purchased it. It's a $500+ jacket. They only told me either you ship the jacket in and they will replace the zipper by the damaging way. They will kill the original zipper and put a new one in or they ship the zipper and I damage it by myself and apply it back. After that, I stop buying their product. With that price, I can pick other way better quality items with better service. I own few thousands dollars of Arcteryx products. Their service turn south badly after they got bought by Chinese company. No more Arcteryx for me anymore.

Highly recommend Norrona over Arc'teryx if you're looking for higher end/quality snow gear, especially with the drop in recent Arc'teryx quality

Once they made it and got rich (sold to the Chinese), they don't give a F about their customers anymore, cuz suckers will keep on buying

They ask me to use cut the bottom side of plastic piece. Let the original metal piece to slide out. The newly designed metal piece has longer nylon and better structure. After installing it, they ask me to add a small metal hook at the end to prevent zipper sliding out. Can you imaging that is the answer from expansive brand's customer service for a more than $500 dollars jacket with faulty design. Especially, I just bought it for one month. No thank you. My money can be well spend on other brand. No more Arcteryx. Thank you.
