most planes will have some kind of phone stand by now or you can utilize a few rubber bands you already have at home and a case

You can also put your phone in a baseball cap, loop the snapback around the folding table latch and shut the folding table.

I've already bought a magnetic case and a magnetic kickstand, but this price isn't bad. I wondered why this stand has a light on it, but I remembered people like to film themselves. Personally I wouldn't need to blind myself while watching a movie.

That's not true. SOME planes have a phone stand. MOST do not.

You can also use some duck tape and tape it to the tray.

more planes have it now compared to before.
overall i think this accessory is totally unnecessary when there are more lightweight DIY solutions and this is just extra bulk that's going to take up space in your hand carry or check in.
it won't take up that much space but you'll also only use it for the 1 or 2 or a few times the average person flies a year.
i'd rather use the space this takes up for other things

I used to fly mostly Continental. I think they're still around.

NOPE, they merged with United in 2010!
United and Southwest DO have USB at every seat. Most, if not All carriers do now..

If you fly Spirit, it better fit in your bag or they'll charge you a fee. 🤣

That light will get you kicked in the sack. Are you kidding me? What an obnoxious feature.
