It has special connections for their brand atmos speakers that can be put on top. These should be labeled atmos ready soeakers

If you are on extremely low budget, spend an extra $20 and get these: https://a.co/d/0h75p4yY

Way the hell better. Measured and reviewed here: https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/...neumi_bs5/
Same reviewer measured these Jamo 803: https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/...jamo_s803/

FYI - it looks like they have electrical passthrough connections on top for these speakers:

I assume you meant "upfiring Atmos"? I thought that Atmost was upfiring? What's better if you already have towers for front and a center channel speaker?
Honestly, you are better off skipping Atmos entirely if you cannot do in/on-ceiling speakers for those overhead channels. Height speakers are a not-bad compromise, but upfiring speakers are truly a useless PITA long-shot option cooked up by the industry to squeeze more money out of consumers who cannot go in/on ceiling but are willing to shell out extra dough just to tell themselves that they have "Atmos" as if it's really some big deal.
Well explained here, if you want to dive into details: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...t-61876296
Bear in mind that in addition to the extra cost of the "Atmos" speakers, this often requires you moving from 7 channel to 9 or 11 channel receivers---with each additional 2 channels, you can expect to pay an extra $300-500 for those receivers that can support those extra channels.

Some clarification, in laymen's terms.

The new object based codecs(Atmos/DTS:X) are additional speaker placements on top of the legacy base layer(ie 5/7/9.1) ones.

Atmos has two, Atmos enabled modules(aka upfiring) and overhead(in ceiling) placements.

DTS:X is more versatile and adds height & VOG on top of that.

Optimal placement & quality of those speakers plays a major role in the quality of the performance ime.
Just as it did with legacy codecs/soundtracks.
