Yeah shipping on used stuff from Adorama is a complete joke. The used stuff weighs the same as new and "somehow" they have free shipping on new and more than what the item sells for on used. It's a scam.

Jamo makes some great speakers. I don't have experience with these but their bookshelf speakers are great.

I think for new, the manufacturer may be covering the cost of shipping. Adorama nickel and dimes.

Obviously. But when they charge close to $200 for the shipping on used and the product is 199 new... if the shipping really was that much then they would make nothing (or lose money) on the new items. The shipping can't actually be that much.

And they have volume, so definitely get a discount and don't pay as much as you and I. Btw, pirateship shows a little under $100 for me.

These or the Polk XT15 or XT20's if I'm gonna be pairing with a subwoofer anyways? Use for home theater only.

Have the S 807 towers and love them. You'll be hard pressed to get better floorstanding speakers for under $200 for the pair unless you find a good deal on something used. Not a flat response by any means, as its more U shaped, but very fun for casual music listening and especially for movies/shows.

The walnut finish looks better in person than the images, as well. Not that it looks real or anything, but it looks fine and I've got no complaints about it. The product pictures make it look really fake and the contrast is very pronounced.

I'd pass on both Polk and Jamo, and instead get the Ascend 170SE for $250/pr shipped (do a search here) --- whole other league, the only area where they'd lose vs these and Polk is aesthetics if you mind their plain black looks.
