No SSD, but 24GB (soldered), USB4 AND Oculink is phenominal.
Also, if you're familiar with installing your own OS and are able to do simple network VLANing you should be able to prevent any attacks (assuming there is actual malware on the machine). All im saying is taht there is a lot of FUD out there with regard to the concerns you mentioned. If your risk tolerance is low, i guess you can skip these kinds of deals. Its all about your own comfort level.

I decided to chat with them to see what's going on since they are not listing taxes in detail.
I got $284.82 - $35 (Discount) + $0 shipping + $36.11 (taxes) = $285.93
NY tax rate is 8.875% not 14.45%
When asked for a break down I was sent an invoice which showed much different information including costs in CNY.
Price: 2775.50 (CNY) = $404.72
Sales Tax Rate: 8.875%
Sales Tax Amount: 246.33 (CNY) = 35.92
Total Inclusive of Sales Tax: 3021.83 (CNY) = 440.63
Not quite sure how they are coming up with this creative math...
