Community Reviews

Claude Pro is positioned as a strong AI subscription for coding, reasoning, and structured work like research, itineraries, and step by step project plans. The discounted three month offer makes it easier to test against ChatGPT or Gemini, and the Pro tier is described as more useful than the free version because it avoids the frequent usage wall. The main caveats are the plan limits, which can arrive quickly, and the promo appears inconsistent for existing or recently renewed accounts. Some checkout pages also showed the regular $20 per month price with auto renew, so the deal may not apply cleanly for everyone.

Sweet! I just signed up for the free plan a few days ago, and it let me get the discount. I don't know for sure if it created ANOTHER account, but I don't care, ha ha ha

How would you compare the free versions of Claude vs ChatGPT vs Gemini? For non-coding, general knowledge inquiry users. Are they all about the same, or is one of them better than the others?

lol you've swallowed the fud campaign. who do you think started the cancel open ai trend? imagine a massive call to action over a company like it's a political movement or something. it's completely unnatural. this campaign started long before this event too. im not saying anthropic did it because amodei is such a soyboy but it's obvious not a grassroots movement. it's about money and it's not yours.

Trump will reverse course on Anthropic anyway (as he always does), so this is much ado about nothing. Palantir needs Claude, and Anthropic needs military training data, and so they will kiss and make up.

because openai signed a deal with the DoW for military use, frankly claude is used in war-adjacent operations anyway so its really just virtue signaling imo
Poor Copilot is too dumb to be used in war

No not evil. My Boi Claude is just existentially troubled.
claude sells propietary models to foreign countries/companies.
but id prefer them over openAI's chatGPT any day and every day because thats not a game stopper for me.

so the defense is others are doing it so its ok? You realize thats incredibly sad right?
im okay with the US Gov'ts reason for not using Claude. its reasonable from the governments POV.
but for a normal user, Claude is infinitely times better than ChatGPT.

I canceled my Chatgpt subscription last week. I was about to transition to Gemini but I'll give this a try first. Thanks OP!
Edit: Very happy I created a discounted account before they removed the deal. Deal is now expired.

Damn I wish I had the money to build a AI powered computer at the house. Unfortunately my 750 Ti in my unraid is not likely to run it
you dont need a powerful pc , there are small open source models that are really good ,even large models have quants to make it smaller and run on less vram/ram you can run on many pcs and laptops , just use the model that fits your build , and its not that complicated you start using day one and learn more as you go .

The problem the government has with Claude is why we have a problem with our government. AI should never be used for mass surveillance and choosing who/what to murder. Skynet should never be a thing. Palantir needs to be destroyed for the good of humanity.
