Overpriced. This was as low as $475 during holiday season.
And the Core 7 was available for $599 around 2 weeks ago.

Shows $499 for me. 5% over holiday price doesn't seem overpriced to me.
According to passmark the difference between a core 5 225U and core 7 255U performance wise seems to be minor. CPU mark 17862 vs 18066
However, this seems to be a a better deal:https://slickdeals.net/f/19200292-hp-omnibook-5-16-fhd-laptop-amd-ryzen-7-350-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-windows-11-ai-pc-469
Cheaper, same specs, except much more powerful CPU/iGPU

The OP himself posted it: https://slickdeals.net/f/19263955-hp-omnibook-5-16-touch-fhd-laptop-intel-ultra-5-225u-16gb-lpddr5x-1tb-ssd-1920-x-1200-514-98-costco?src=interactiveQuote&p=182822920#post182822920
So, I stand corrected, it wasn't even Core 5 225U but 7 255U for $479.99.
Additionally, upon searching I also found this very model/config was $450: https://slickdeals.net/f/18898645-costco-members-hp-omnibook-5-laptop-ultra-5-225u-16-1200p-touch-16gb-1tb-450-15-s-h?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Apopular%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
Like I said, overpriced.

I don't think it's fair to compare black friday prices to current good deal prices
