When I invest in storage I skip over anything without a latch for each side and a locking notch to help keep it in place. One drop an these usually open ; or when you are grabbing by the top tend to unlatch at some point. At this price you can get lock & lock or snap lock.

I use these and the oxo push top, these are usually a bit cheaper. This set is nice because the lids are only about 3 sizes and it fits a large array of shapes from lunch carry size to glass containers. The versatility of the Rubbermaid containers is very nice because the containers and lids stack cleanly on a shelf in stacks.

No container is going to survive a fall, and these lids never come off if they are latched all the way. Not a fantastic price though. As the other person stated, the lids are standard across product lines and this is the most common lid size.

16 cups is small, can't even hold a bag of blue corn chips from TJ's. For that, you need the 22.5 cup size.
