The biggest downside is how quickly the number expires after you stop the plan.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Tello. And I'm sure you know, there are many, many people who also complain about Visible and their lack of customer service. So sometimes it's just the luck of the draw.

Wanted to point out that this offer combines with their referral program. If you use a referral code when creating your account, you will get $10 in Tello dollars. You won't want to apply it until after the promotion is over, but maybe by then you could earn more by referring others.

If you are trying to take advantage of a new line/new customer promotion, you have to port to a different carrier then port back. I'm not sure how long the number needs to be away from Tello. It used to be just a couple of days, but they may have tightened that up.
