I rarely use more than 1kWh in a month, according to my statement. I wonder if this package would be a good starter kit. I just worry about "dirty power" for appliances and other sensitive electronics. Replacing electronics prematurely (and/or constantly) would certainly postpone or even prevent the long pay off until you start truly havimg "free" electricity

you must live in a tent. 1kWH would probably keep my phone and laptop charged for a month. 😁

And you just spent 0.01% of your monthly budget typing that. Try to moderate yourself now!

All 3 of us are incorrect. Apparently I was misreading my bill.

You need some stout men to help lift them to the part of the house that they will live (most likely near your main breaker box). They weigh 300lbs each. Presumably you already have a 48v inverter and some solar panels installed. If not you'd want to get with an electrician/solar installer and start pricing your system.

If anyone wants to learn about battery/solar/off grid storage check this kid out:

https://www.youtube.com/@WillProwse
He had a review of a battery system from China (forget name) that was 31Kwh+ for around $2000.

If you're patient watch for auctions on these. I didn't realize the coupon also works on the auction, and for whatever reason they didn't charge sales tax when I checked out. With $350 coupon I ended up paying $1350 each delivered which is like $85/kwh. Crazy. $300/kwh was a pretty good price for server rack batteries less than 5 years ago.
